Our Principals

Kelly Udovich, Principal

Mrs. Udovich

Kelly Udovich was named principal at Whitemarsh Elementary in the spring of 2025. She started her career in the Colonial School District in the 2017-2018 school year as assistant principal at Plymouth Elementary School. During her tenure with Colonial, she also served as interim principal at Conshohocken Elementary School

Ms. Udovich takes pride in creating a positive and welcoming environment for students, staff, and families. She believes that “you can’t go wrong when you put students first in everything that we do.” 

Prior to joining Colonial, Ms. Udovich enjoyed working as an elementary classroom teacher and reading specialist in the Upper Darby School District. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Master's Degree in Education, reading specialist certification, and principal certification from Cabrini University and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Immaculata University.

David Caruso, Assistant Principal

David Caruso serves as the Assistant Principal at Ridge Park Elementary School and Whitemarsh Elementary School. He began his career in Colonial as a fourth grade teacher at Colonial Elementary School and later an Instructional Technology Teacher at Ridge Park. Before moving into administration, he helped develop and design technology curriculum, created elementary science assessments that align with state and national standards, and was honored as a Master Teacher. He currently belongs to the districtwide Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging team.

"I am inspired by the incredible students I get to see grow and flourish," said Mr.Caruso. "The success of our students at Ridge Park continues to provide me with my inspiration to be the best educational leader that I can be."

Mr. Caruso earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from West Chester University, a Masters in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Cabrini University. 

A opportunity to hold assistant swim coach position at his local swim club when Mr. Caruso was young inspired him to go into teaching. Outside of school, he continues to pursue this love of coaching by volunteering with youth basketball, baseball, flag football, and soccer teams.
