PWHS junior Ace Cratin qualifies for Regional Band and Regional Chorus
Congratulations and good luck to Plymouth Whitemarsh High School junior Ace Cratin, who recently qualified for PMEA Region VI competition in both Band and Chorus. Combined with his performance at the PMEA District 11 Orchestra festival earlier in January, Cratin has now advanced to regional competition in all three major ensembles organized by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA).
At the PMEA District 11 Band Festival held at Wissahickon High School, the PWHS bassoonist secured first chair. He will now perform at the PMEA Region VI Band Festival at North Penn High School from March 6-8.
Ace auditioned on Tenor 2 at the PMEA District 11 Chorus and is moving on to PMEA Region VI Chorus at Garnet Valley High School on March 13-15, under the direction of Guest Conductor Dr. Dustin Cates from Temple University.
The PMEA Region VI festivals feature the top high school musicians from Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties.
